Matosha
The works touch the soul before the name does.

Matosha is a self-taught painter, born in Albania, working in Italy. His paintings move through the female figure: her form, her light, the weight she carries in shadow. Even where she is absent from the canvas, she is present.
The impulses come from his own experiences, from feeling, from the way nature provokes him. He works in the tradition of the body as subject and the body as meaning: Renaissance in spirit, living now, deeply personal.
He paints to leave the mark that says: I was here. He believes energy does not die; it transforms. From the past, souls are reborn in every possible future, carrying the thread between what was and what will be.
"From the website I expect it to simply be a connecting bridge, introducing new people to my works, where the works touch the soul of the visitor first."
